1. General Information

At-Tarbiyah: Journal of Islamic Education is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, and educational studies in the field of Islamic Education. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and education practitioners to disseminate research findings, theoretical developments, and innovative practices related to Islamic education.

The journal covers various aspects of Islamic Education, including Islamic educational philosophy, curriculum development, Islamic pedagogy, educational management, learning methods, Islamic character education, Islamic educational institutions, educational technology, and contemporary issues in Islamic education.

2. Manuscript Requirements

Authors should ensure that submitted manuscripts:

  • Are original and have not been published elsewhere.

  • Are not under consideration by another journal.

  • Are written in clear and academic English or Bahasa Indonesia.

  • Demonstrate novelty, significance, and contribution to the field of Islamic Education.

  • Follow appropriate academic and research ethical standards.

  • Present research methods, findings, and discussions clearly and systematically.

  • Use relevant and up-to-date scholarly references.

6. Abstract Guidelines

The abstract should provide a concise overview of the manuscript and include:

  • Background of the study

  • Research objectives

  • Research methodology

  • Main findings

  • Theoretical or practical contribution

The abstract should contain 150–250 words and should be written clearly and informatively.

7. Citation and References

Authors must use:

  • APA Style 7th Edition

  • Reference Management Software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote

Minimum reference requirements:

  • At least 20 references.

  • At least 80% of references should come from journal articles.

  • At least 80% of references should have been published within the last 10 years.

  • References should be relevant to the research topic.

  • Authors are encouraged to use recent and reputable national and international scholarly publications.

8. Ethical Statement

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts comply with academic and research ethics, including:

  • No plagiarism or duplicate publication.

  • Proper citation and acknowledgment of all sources.

  • Authenticity and integrity of research data.

  • Appropriate treatment of research participants.

  • Informed consent where required.

  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest.

  • Accurate reporting of research findings.

The manuscript's plagiarism similarity index should not exceed 20%.

9. Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS) by following these steps:

  1. Register or log in to the OJS system.

  2. Complete the author and manuscript metadata.

  3. Upload the manuscript in DOCX format.

  4. Upload supplementary files if applicable.

  5. Complete the submission checklist.

  6. Confirm and submit the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submission requirements have been fulfilled before submitting the manuscript.

10. Peer Review Process

Submitted manuscripts will undergo the following editorial and peer-review process:

  6. Copyediting and Production
